Philip and Davor drove us to Treskavec Monastery.
On the other hand, the road to there is one of the great hiking spots in Prilep. It can be visited in company with the breathtaking view of nature and historical places. On the way, we saw frescoes dating back centuries. We learned that the monastery dates from the 12th century and there are many legends about it. It takes its name from one of the legends. A sultan wants to destroy the city with his dragon, but God kills the dragon with a thunderclap to protect the people. Thus, it became known as the Treskavec Monastery.
The monastery is still in the process of restoration. However, beautiful frescoes can be seen on the walls and guests can stay in rooms reserved for them. There is also a small shop where you can buy souvenirs. The profit of the shop is allocated to help poor people. Our cute little friends accompanied us throughout our journey
We completed our journey with the view from the hill of Prilep. We enjoyed the peace on the hill surrounded by fluffy clouds. We were amazed by the display of the lion-shaped stones. It was a pleasant journey.
That’s all for today. Thank you for your time. Have a nice day!
